I ordered two like the instructions in the bulletin. You need to place one on each side over here:

Anyone that did the modification could post some photos, how many plates he used, if the gap closes, procedure, how it is glued to the claw etc?
So many suffer from this issue but no one did the mod, strange...

Pretty much the same part. Wouldn't be surprised if Subaru just ordered them from them. Classic case of the aftermarket creating the fix before the OEM.

The instructions say to just use a neutral detergent to keep the clip in place while you reinstall the bumper.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't use loctite/plastic glue to stick it in place?

This won't work if the clips are destroyed, right? The area where they apply the detergent is gone.

Might just go quicklatch.

I don't see the harm in gluing them in place with a forgiving adhesive, maybe 5min epoxy or E6000.

Yep. Even Superglue. It literally is just to hold everything in one spot until clipped together.

I ordered these clips last week and put them on last night. Here are some photos of the install. I didn't take the whole bumper off, I just undid the side marker and fender liner to pull the bumper away to get the clips on. I used superglue to stick the clip on the underside of the bumper. Mine was definitely not as bad as others I've seen, but wanted to do it before mine got worse.
