FR-S or BRZ on track (a few examples included)

Tsukuba:
1:09.76 86
1:10.83 BRZ

Another Japanese track battle (not sure the track):
Toyota GT-86 – 1:46.0
Subaru BRZ – 1:47.1
MX-5 Fabric Top – 1:48.6

Motor Trend:
1:30.32 BRZ
1:13.15 FR-S

So, what's the deal?

1. Are the FR-S and FT-86 tuned the same?

2. Could the rear tires on the Motor Trend FR-S have been fried? The article mentioned that the BRZ was newer which is why it was a tick slower to 60 (not broken in enough), but newer could also mean tires in better shape....

3. Anyone know of more track tests?

Thanks!

Motor wise yes. Spring wise no. The frs has a differnt tune on that end then the BRZ. But how much I do not know.

So I know that the BRZ and FR-S have different spring and shock choices. What I'm wondering is if the 86 and FR-S have the same springs and shocks...

This is what I've gathered with the BRZ and FR-S differences though:

BRZ: 185 pounds/ inch front and rear spring rate.
FRS: Is "looser" and has a "softer" spring rate, but stiffer shocks.

Conclusion: The FRS might have a softer front rate with the same rear rate. This would explain the balance differences.

This video shows the 86 sliding a bit more, but still being faster. However the Motor Trend article says the FRS is slower for being less stable, that's why I'm wondering if it's tires were done.
