Most likely until it dies... at least once. I drove a 94' Camry with over 250K miles up until last year, so I doubt I'll be letting the BRZ go anytime soon. (As a side note though, the Camry is still running strong.)

Until it becomes a pain in my ass. Of the 12 or so cars I've owned in the last 15 or so years it's my favorite by far, but I don't really have the patience to deal with frequent problems anymore.

Depends on how I feel after I wake up on May 1, 2016.
You are going to want boost / way more power after you drive there probably

The enjoyment I get out of this car is not by acceleration. If I wanted more power I would've gotten a different car to begin with.

I was thinking about this recently. I am enjoying my BRZ a ton. However, my eyes are wandering to a Lotus more and more. I decided that I have created a nearly perfect sporty daily driver with my BRZ (Turbo/Flex/etc 365WHP) and I will not get rid of it. I always keep a Jeep Wrangler. I will now keep this BRZ for the foreseeable future. And - I will put a Lotus beside the two. I think that is a really nice trio of vehicles and fills most of the desires I have. Maybe a Caterham SP300R as a track only ride if I move next to a track. And - you know a Bentley flying spur. The cool thing about the BRZ is it can fill that niche for the Lotus and let me consider the Spur. What can I say - I like cars and get attached to them. Just need a bigger garage which is in my plans for the next house and is actually an outbuilding on its own - instead of horses - autos

I could not be happier with how my BRZ has turned out and it still has lots of potential. It is just really happy with E85 at the HP it is putting out right now. Any more and I have to deal with the tranny. Also - even running 17x9 Hankook Ventus RS3s - I have to watch that back end when the boost hits hard. The car is light back there and going to 400+ HP I feel would be too much without a widebody kit and some larger tires. Then - I feel like most of the initial characteristics that make the car fun would be gone. I think 350-380HP is an awesomely fun configuration for a DD.

Anyway - just thinking out-loud. It was a good question

Plan on keeping this car for as long as I can, as long as I live. It's one of the few cars that give me joy everytime I ride in it.

I'd have to get something better for a fun car. Right now, I can't think of a more fun car.

That's funny, but at 57 it's something on my mind! For now though, it's only an occasional groan getting in and out of it, which I seem to do regardless of what I am doing!
