You're taking that statement way too seriously lol. My point was replacing the awesome sounding top speed with something that looks identical but has aligned tips.

Has anyone gotten their tips to align with messing with hangers or bending pipes? I'm itching to replace this thing. As much as I love the look and sound, the uneven passenger side tips annoys my OCD. Might go with the Greddy SP Elite.
Anyone with exhaust fabrication experience, if the pipe is heated, can it be bent? |

Don't bend the pipe, bend the hangers. I just used pieces of rubber hose and zipties on the hangers to force them closer. The right way is to bend the hangers though.

It's real close. It's dark out. I'll take pictures tomorrow. I spent about an hour cutting hose and hose-clamping them. It's about the same side-to-side, but the passenger side sticks out further. That will require bending the hanger.

Here's a top view showing the right tip sticking out .25", rear views showing hole spacing, and under views showing rubber spacers used to align it. It's close without spending a lot of time or money. I'm fine with it.

1. I wouldn't want the sharp edges to cut the hanger donut, possibly causing failure. 2. I wouldn't want to tighten or loosen a hose clamp that hasn't got a hex head to use a socket on. Since I can use a flex extension to get into tight spaces. 3. Nobody's going to look at it, so why not use a zip tie? It's easy to install, just pull tight and trim. It's easy to remove, just stab it with something sharp. 4. Zip ties are much cheaper than hose clamps. 5. The short pieces of fuel line are rubber, so they can flex with the donuts, then push back into alignment. You can set it once and forget it. |

Do you have a lot of confidence in zip ties that are getting battered by the conditions? I live in the northeast where salt is laid heavily on roads in winter.
Those clamps I posted, it appears I could get a stainless steel screw with a hex head. Maybe wrap the hanger in rubber then secure it with the clamp, as you did with zip ties |
