I'm tempted to take mine off because it's slightly worn off on the top left side even though no one is going to every notice. But I have ideas about replacing the entire hood with an Seibon vented hood soooo...decisions decisions...

i have the vs and ts style seibon hoods and the hood liner pad wont work with either hood. it blocks the vents and there is no mounting holes for it

I broke mine (not on purpose), I thought it would be easy to remove them but I guess with heat+time they became brittle.

yes they are fire blankets first and some sound deadening. when a fire starts in the engine bay the slamm plastic tabs that hold the blanket up meld dropping the blanket over the motor to smother the fire, in theory that's what they are made for, how well the work i dont know.

Hi all, real dumb question, how do I remove the hood liner? there are several plastic pins/clips holding the liner tightly. I was really worried of breaking it (from excessive force). However I pried a little bit and the thread is like a dry wall mount, and there is no obvious pinch point to unleash the clip.

Any tips? or just use more force?
