Poor paint on front end

What’s everyone opinion on fixing poor paint causing chips all over the front bumper and fenders?

Seriously? Lol I’ve thought about it because I feel like my bumper is beyond touch up. However, I feel like after a few months it will look the same again, so I’m kinda stuck in the middle telling myself “It’s not that bad” lol

I know mine is fucked. But that going to be someone else's problem.

The fix:
Repaint and clear bra/protective wrap. That's the only fix.

I’m kidding but mines trashed. A couple of hits and a really bad scape plus all the stone chips. I think she’s a goner lol

I’ll do the 3M protective film next time.

When it gets worst (just ugly now), take off, sand off with 500, then 1000, then 2000, then 3000. Primer, and put on paint match, then clear 3 times, then PPF.
Easier said then done.

Keep in mind you'll get bumper sag eventually as well.

No. Was supposed to go in back in July but the guy we hired for the plants 2 hours from home quit and I am back to driving it once a week. Will hold off until spring. Again! I did have to touch up some nasty rust along the top of my windshield to tide me over though.

Yes

Although the deal was just for one year I felt like I was using him so just kept doing it. Three summers now.

My opinion is that if you bought the car to have fun driving it you just have to live with the fact that you will get rock chips and dings on your car at some point.

To minimize chips, PPF is your best option. You will get chips on any vehicle that is driven regularly. A low sports car like the twin unfortunately gets hammered a bit more just because it's closer to the pavement. Even if you re-paint it with "better" paint, it will still get dings eventually.

Buy a touch-up paint pen from your dealership and use that to repair chips. If you are careful you can conceal a chip 90% that no one will notice other than you.

When I bought mine this year the number of chips in the front bumper really bothered me. Then I realized there's not much point worrying over every chip, because I'd drive myself crazy with this car. PPF is too costly for me, and it ended up being something I can live with.

Also since I will track it, there's really no point in being worried over the front bumper chips lol.

For An already peppered bumper I'd just use a touch up pen to hide the damage a bit. Instead of a 10 foot issue it'll be a 3 foot issue.

A new or resprayed bumper.. PPF and ceramic go a long way to protect. I still have a few spots large shit broke the PPF and damaged the bumper.

Low cars suck when everyone is driving SUVs now. Trucks kick up all kinds of debris.

Edit I should have read the thread first so I didn't give the same answer 7 times.
