Like I said way back in this thread each level just loves to think each above and below them are useless and they are the key player. Doesn't matter that they either come from the group below or are going to become the one above. As soon as they change so does their perception of the abilities of their level. Human nature at it's best.

Local high school has a robotics program. That's the extent of it though.
Welding, woodworking and auto shop are all too dangerous for the little petals.

Canadian ones are still going strong, at least in the smaller communities. Next year they are even going to start offering some of the more basic prerequisite courses for some of the trades such as millwright and electrician. It is an attempt to bring students back to the skilled trades level of schooling since we are facing a huge shortage of them.

One time, my torch blew out because I didn't clean my work pieces well enough. I went to close the valves and forgot that I was still holding the welding rod.


Burned right through to my nuts.

i dunno. i went to a private school. the school just moved, and now focuses solely on STEM now, with no mechanical courses whatsoever.
