Car threw a high idle code for the first time ever today, idle is about 1100rpm and raises to like 2250 in gear rolling (Edelbrock tune). Car loads up and goes flat over 50% throttle.Had the blower for about 5k miles and have not had any issues. Obviously it is sucking in air post throttle body. Visually don't see anything, what are my likely suspects?

Vacuum leak is the most likely cause.

if it were a vacuum leak wouldn't you think that there would also be a lean code thrown. even with a leak it should still not fall flat due to the map sensor giving an input. not saying your wrong just throwing ideas out there. feel it would have to be a huge leak to fall on its face due to post TB leak

Oh yea it's definitely a vacuum leak, fuel trims are out of wack, I just haven't driven it enough to throw a lean code. Just looking for any help in the area of stuff that commonly "pops" off after some time. I'll get some carb cleaner and track it down this weekend, hopefully it's not the actuator but nothing was obvious on a visual check.

Guys, I have a question.

For the 2017 86 (just in case the OEM exhaust is in any way different from previous years), if I don't upgrade the headers and front/over pipe (I was gonna keep them catted anyway), how much power would I be missing out on? I just don't think the noise level is something I'll be able to get away with where I live, so I think apart from the catback I'm gonna keep the rest of the exhaust stock.

Thinking I may have a bad actuator, disconnecting the actuator from the vacuum port on the back of the blower (and capping that port) results in my normal ~800rpm idle. The Evap and brake booster lines are intact and clamped. Doubt I messed up an IM gasket after 9mos.

You're looking at potentially 20-30whp depending on the setup and tune. If noise is the issue I recommend you look at the ACE laguna 90 catback. I have the ACE CS400 header/OP, HKS dual resonated FP, and the Ace laguna 90 and my exhaust is nice and quiet when DDing, and with no cat restrictions.

I really like my Corsa though, and don't know of any exhaust with the same sound. Come to think of it, is the Edelbrock gonna alter the sound characteristics of the Corsa?

Yup, it's leaking. I really wish Edelbrock (or someone) would come up with a better valve, the current valve is the weak link on this kit.

It's been incremented already, and if the failure continues to happen, Edelbrock will change the part again.

They are constantly re-evaluating parts on the kit to ensure long term reliability.

Do you know if there is a way to determine if the replacement valve is an updated version? The number stamped on my original, failed valve is VA820, 15315 and the replacement that I got a couple months ago is VA820, 10317. Looking at this logically, the replacement is the same model, and an even older run.
