Depends. Back when my 16 year old daughter smashed up the front of this 1979 Chev tank that I bought her, I took her up the local junk yard. She had made up a list of parts she needed and equipped with an adjustable wrench, a pair of pliers and a screwdriver she entered the office of the wrecking yard.

Now, keep in mind she was (still is) a very pretty, well built young lady. The guys at the counter were more than willing to help her find and remove the parts she needed (not to worry, I was closely watching).

When she went to pay, this one nice, toothless dude just said "that's OK, pretty girl, no charge".

So, it depends.

I'm sure you can get 'proper' replacement covers...and if not then you can get stick-on which can be stuck on any colour base fitting.....

Ok, update. I found a mirror from a wrecked frs in Ohio on eBay. $75. Snapped off the parts I needed. I'm freaking happy as hell. Guess I'll try to sell the rest of the mirror back on eBay.

e-bay was the source of my replacement after the wife-unit broke the PS while backing her car into the garage. No lack of color and price choices.
