Though a bit off-topic, but how is the Subaru's Gunma factory? Is that their flagship/main plant? Is the production (though it should be the same world wide...) higher quality than the US plant?

I'm actually unaware (well, frankly, that applies to many things) of any Subaru factory or where their locations are @_@. I'm only aware that Toyota had a small factory in Fremont area (joint with Tesla?) and well meh lol

scion=toyota=subaru-front facia in looks is some of my favorite news. I expect the scion to have less funky gizmos cluttering it up than the others, and its actually preferred. I cant believe i am even more excited about this car...

I hope to see the FR-s concept and the BRZ concept. I just want to see them in person. It will give me a much better idea of the size of the car.

We should get a thread going on our california forum to get an idea of who is going and when.

There is a plant where Legacy and Forester(I think) are built in Fort Wayne, IN. I don't know anything about Gunma Plant.

Let's do this! Since it's going to be at the LA Convention Ctr, we can all meet up at Roscoe's since it's right down the street!

I'm actually excited to see what the Subaru concept looks like, that way I'll kind of get an idea what the differences between the Subie and the Scion/Toyota is appearance wise. I know it'll just be subtle differences but for some reason I feel like the Scion will have a better looking exterior and the Subie will have a better interior and I hope that won't be the case. Can't wait for November to come though so close to production model being unveiled.

I dont get it. What's the point?

Subaru to FINALLY show a body on their concept in LA in Nov when < 1 month later they will show the production version at Tokyo.

The time for there concept was frankfurt or geneva. This just seems stupid.

That is how Subaru rolls. They don't show off a proto/production model years in advance before it is released.

I get not doing it for years like Toyota have done but isn't the LA show Nov 18th-27th?

The press day at Tokyo is the 28th (I think).

Interesting to hear more officially [still actually unofficial] that the Scion will be the stripped one and the Subaru will be the higher trim level. I guess we deduced that all along, but for me it just now hit home. Couple that with the news that the sheetmetal will be identical, with only fascias being unique, and that makes even more economic sense.

I'd say no, it doesn't in this context. It's likely the intent of the "lowest CoG in a prod. car" claim is directed towards attainable mass-production cars and leaves out exotics and supercars.
