Ummm... no. Have you looked at many dyno charts comparing the two on our platform? There is a relatively large difference in power between them.

I have no plans for e85 so I haven't done much looking but I know e85 is usually just over 200rwhp and I've heard that the same can be done with 93 but that you won't get that much from an off the shelf 93 tune.

If you're competing in STX running E85 last year or this year, you're a d-bag. But at the same time, you're likely running it to make up for a lack of actual skill, which likely means you're not really a threat anyways. I highly doubt anyone at Nats or winning any NT's/Pros actually ran E85 last year. It's autocross where we're competing for glasses and magnets, no need to cheat, don't be a d-bag, don't ruin the integrity of the sport. Thanks.

I'm capable of running e85 but wasn't planning on it. I just dont wanna be the only 1 NOT running it if other people are.
You run with SFR? I don't think any of us were running E85.

I run w/ Sac. I know e85 has been run ... its just been one of those things where if the offenders aren't winning then nobody who knew cared.

Now that OFTs are more prevalent I wonder if it'll start to be a bigger issue? Maybe/maybe not..

I don't have track feedback yet, but I did put a Ground Control setup on my car a few weeks ago.

Purchased it used from another forum member, 375/425. So far I'm very happy other than those rates on stock tires and sways being VERY tail happy.

I haven't seen or heard anything about this so I figured I would ask. Are there any limitations on weight reduction, mostly in terms of removing interior trim, audio, seats and that kind of thing.

You can only do what the rulebook says you can do, and not anything more. Which is mostly limited to lightweight batteries, taking out the spare, and front driver & passenger seats that are 25+lbs (including brackets).

maybe my searching is poor, but are the undercarriage panels included in this? I have not found a rule talking about undercarriage so I am assuming they are out since I think they are JDM only(or did they come on the series blue?)

Those qualify under the "backdate/update" rule. If an identicle model from a later year has something, you can use it on the previous year.

I believe the panels are considered an aerodynamic device and are not allowed. Whereas the stock rear spoiler is more of an airflow and cosmetic piece and not a down force device and really doesn't change the cars handling significantly. As far as lightening the car, etc. The idea for street touring is the car is basically stock with a few modifications allowed. But the car must be pretty much in stock form as you drove it off the lot, meaning rear seats in, not major body panel changes, suspension, or engine mods beyond what is listed in the rules. Mostly bolt on parts. No change in fuel type etc. is included unless specified.

The backdate/update issue doesn't cross from special edition cars to stock cars.

As for the E85 issue, I find it hard to believe someone could interpret E85 as "legal" or questionable. The rules say no, that means no. No room for interpretation. if you are an average driver and use E85, the better drivers will still win on pure ability, the E85 isnt going to boost you to the top anyway. You need to look for the edge in your driving ability.

Now get ready to go out there and have some fun.

Going to start putting the parts on the car either this weekend or next weekend. Going to be running the KW V3's and was curious where everyone is setting their ride height. Specifically, I want to get a good initial height on the car. Can anyone get measurements of the distance from the bottom of the threads to the collar for the front and rear? Would prefer to make small tweaks than massive changes when I first drop it to the ground.

Also if anyone has a center of hub to bottom of fender measurement, that would be great too.

2015+ twins have Full under-body panels. So if you have a 2015+, you're good.
