Canadian FR-S options VS U.S.A's options?

Hi guys, I live in Toronto, Ont, just wondering if the U.S spec FR-S has any major options that the Canadian car has? I went to see a Black A/T FR-S on Saturday and it didn't have the white face tach? And how much are u guys in Canada paying a month? Thanks

I spoke to a Scion rep at the test drive event, and he confirmed that the splash shields (mudflaps) are standard, as well as 2 sets of floor mats (carpet and rubber sets).

White tach is standard on all NA Scion cars. Was it at night/dusk as the white goes pretty dark pretty quick. The BRZ went with the black tach.

Should be 27,605 before PST/GST so the monthly payment depends on you.

They won't, or at least they won't be any good. Toyota recalled all of their rubber floor mats because idiotic people were placing them on top of their existing carpeted mats and they were getting lodged under the gas pedal, causing "unintended acceleration". Basically, stupid people being stupid and suing Toyota. So now the rubber mats they offer don't have the lining on the outside and the dirt/water is free to seep all over your carpet. Your best bet is to go for WeatherTech mats.

I'm holding out for the WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitalFits. I've already made a product request for the FR-S since they don't make them yet.

FYI

In Canada winter floor mats are now standard with all 2013 Toyota and Scion Models. Thats from the parts department of my local Toyota Scion Dealer.

As for option available in Canada....sadly its way disappointing at this point.

I made a point of calling Scion Canada to complain about our exclusion from the "Optomize Scion" program.

On the plus side...thats forced me to look at the aftermarket for the first time in my life and quite frankly i think i've done pretty good so far following that route. Insert JRP online plug here

Canadian FR-S have the following standard options over the US Spec:

- Included 2 sets of floor mats (one fabric, one all weather)
- Standard mudflaps
- Standard heated sideview mirrors (turn on with the rear defroster)

Here in Arizona my choices were transmission, color and radio (two were offered). Fabric floor mats (front and rear) were standard. There were some options. I'm not sure of all of them but I know there was a vinyl rear bumper cover, trunk mat and wheel locks.

I'm sure hoping in future production years they will broaden some of the choices. I still breath heavy when I see British Racing Green with saddle tan leather interiors.

We need those heated mirrors. I had those in my 626 and it was pretty nice. I didn't realize my mirrors were frosted over this morning when I left for work until I was half way here. I had to roll the window down at a stop light and wipe off my driver mirror so I could see my blind spot.
