How was the Sisters run? Forgot that wifey has signed me up for the American Heart Assoc. "Heartwalk 2013" on the morning of the 26th of October! I was just reminded I told her I would go. I don't think I can get out of this one. Drats.

I was wondering if we have a December date picked out yet, my calendar clears up that month. However, I'm competing with other coworkers for weekends off so the sooner i request off, the better.

844 US HWY 83 SOUTH. Last chance for gas and restrooms.

Counter Clockwise Run: Leakey to 336 > 41 > 335 > 55 to Camp Wood > 337 to the Bent Rim Grill for lunch @ 657 Ranch Road (337).

Bring FRS (Family Radio Service) radios if ya got some to share - set to channel 5-0 for communication. If we have a large turnout we will split in to separate groups of 7-10. As always, faster / experienced drivers to the front, conservative / less aggressive drivers to the rear. Newbys are welcome. We will make at least one stop during the route for a stretch break / photo shoot of our cars lined up. Past Bandera, cell phone service is limited. AT&T is the only carrier working in Leakey.

Our goal is to have a fun, safe cruise. There are several spots with radar so be careful on your way to Medina, Leakey and the area around Camp Wood.

Add your name to the list in the next post (below) if you plan to attend or want to list yourself as a "maybe". See you in Medina!

This is why I'm already trying to get December discussed because soon I'll have my December scheduled and be left in the dust again. On a side note, maybe we can set a day each month so it can be coordinated around work etc? Say for example, 2nd Saturday of every month? Just an idea.

Also, now that I'm back in the shop for the rough idle with CEL/SL; I'm fixing to enter negotiations with the dealer to buy back my brz and sell me a new one. So depending on how long that takes I might not be able to participate in December anyway.

It was a small run - just yours truly and TEWwild.....

All in all it was a great time. Weather was a bit dicey with some wet roads and rain, but for the most part, the wet was in places that it did not matter. There was virtually no cars out and about, only bikes.

We did see a bike getting trailered off up near the TXMOTOFOTO station near the edge of the giant cliff. Bike had been layed down - not sure what the status of the rider was. Hope they are ok.

Dunno. Haven't heard of any lately. This Saturday AM is Cars & Coffee at the Rim in front of Lowe's. Would be nice to get a good size group of 86 cars there this time. Last month we had about a half dozen or so.

^^ Aggghhh. Been there, done that before. All my kids are grown and wifey is gone for the weekend to party at the coast with her sisters. I'm a bachelor for the weekend!

We're overdue for a big "Ricepuddin" style evening group photo shoot again. With all the new 86 owners we could easily get a crowd....trouble is, seems like the SA and SA meet thread has been pretty dead lately. Won't be easy to organize a flash mob of 86s if said new owners are not tuning in to ft86club or facebook. Is everyone just lurking lately? Anybody up for a evening group photo shoot/meet at the Quarry again? Just sayin'...might be fun! Hello, Nate!!! Wanna be our photographer?
