Looks stunning! How are you liking the setup?

For me, but it all comes down to personal preference, this Apexi system seems astonishing. I did a 500 km tour today and tested it in different circumstances :
highway smooth (130 KM/H), highway spirited (any velocity between 140 km/H and 180km/h) and secondary roads smooth and spirited.
I already had installed the Miltek resonated catback and the Grimmspeed intake.(see pics below) My car already made a rather decent sound in my personal opinion but now sound is sublime. With constant highway speeds there is no more noise than before the Apexi. But when accelerating the car sounds to me like a much more expensive sportscar, it really gets addictive without being too noisy.
BUT WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT to me : I have been searching for the infamous torquedip, in vain. On a dynorun it will probably not be completely vanished, but for me midrange torque has definitely smoothened out enough to stop any complaining. And horsepower in the high revs? Thick that box too, very sure but of course only a dynorun can affirm how much.
I checked it several times but I can affirm that my fuel consumption has not raised, on the contrary in fact. I managed to get 8,5L/100km (33mpg) while the onboard display showed an average of 8,8l/100km.(32mpg). 600 km driven with the system no CEL shows up and I don't expect it to show up. Apexi tricks the ECU by a very tiny hole in the dung downstream the 'supercat"(according to Apexi) as you can see in the attached scheme. I forgot to take a pic while installing it but it really is a very narrow hole.

So it's not just placement after cat, but also reducing inlet to sensor. Makes me think of it like some O2 spacers. Thanks for info.
P.S.
I doubt you'll remove O2 sensors or even more so frontpipe to measure .. but you don't remember approximate diameter of inlet for secondary O2 sensor or any other data on that bung (eg. how far sensor in it is spaced from gas flow)? Imho info on that bung inlet parameters may help if someone else wants to make some setup for use with tune without cat readiness checks disabled & w/o throwing CELs on other catless aftermarket exhausts too.

The reduced inlet to downstream cat O2 sensor made me also think of O2 spacers man! Fingers crossed CEL not showing up sometime, but in any case very clever of Apexi! If I remember correctly diameter of hole was approximately 1.5 mm, as I said very very narrow. Hope this helps.

One other aspect I forgot to mention in my short review :
My experience with OEM header was that even with a heatshield, it could become very warm under the hood.
When I opened the hood after a long distance of spirited driving, I was expecting an extreme heat that could probably burn...let's say my face or my fingers. Well, nothing could be further of the truth! Less heat than with OEM header with heatshield, believe me or not! Header is clearly well heatcoated. And I think this is the case with most quality aftermarket headers.

Yeah, I would also like to add that in my opinion, the Apexi & Fujitsubo headers are the best on the market today in terms of quality and keeping noise close to OEM spec.

The best opinion will be from Cygnus since his the owner. However from my research here is generally how it works to smell levels.

1 being less smell and than all the next numbers the smell would increase slightly.

No Smell (Only on Start Up) (Because cats need to warm up)
1. Stock Header + Stock Front Pipe
2. Stock Header + Catted Aftermarket Front Pipe
3. Stock Header + Catless Front Pipe
4. Catted Aftermarket Header + Catted Aftermarket Front Pipe
5. Catted Aftermarket Header + Catless Front Pipe

You will have a smell (You may notice smell with windows down in traffic or when stopped.)
6. Catless Header + Stock Front Pipe
7.
Catless Header + Catted Aftermarket Front Pipe

Will always smell very bad!

8. Catless Header + Catless Front Pipe

Thank you for the validation.
I've been trading messages with about 5 different people and no one wanted to believe what I was saying since the first day.

A setup like this allows the user to run whatever exhaust of their choosing, without having to compromise on ANYTHING.

My pleasure. And I have to thank you Alex! You could reassure me with your posts in this forum and with your answer on my private message to you concerning your experience with this setup to make the final decision to buy this setup.

Well I made a special attention to this smell issue and indeed ...
with a cold startup gasoline smell at the back is more pronounced than with stock setup. Mr Impreza is completely right!
