Agreed with that, but I suspect this is due to the fact that it hasn't got an external antenna like you'd normally expect... at least, from everything I've heard, the antenna on the back is just for the radio. Your phone's GPS is probably assisted by the phone signals - A-GPS gets a broad location fix from the cell tower it's connected to, so it doesn't need to contact as many satellites. Definitely a downer though.

I'm guessing this is in conjunction with losing signal? I haven't had this issue.

... nor this issue; which warnings are you turning off? Let me see if I can try to recreate it.

That sucks about the GTS, the AU BRZ nav unit is really good.

If you have poor reception try pulling your unit out and checking where your dealer mounted the GPS antenna. A lot of them are sticking it on the exterior of the head unit which is causing interference. If that's the case, relocating it should make a big difference.

I think this goes beyond our cars, maybe beyond Toyota/Subaru all together.

My wifes brand new Lexus is getting paint chips all over the front of it just from daily driving. The paint if freaking paper thin and chips easy!!!

As for me I have posted in this thread before but as I drive my car more and more the only thing that sticks with me is the DAMN TORQUE DIP. I want it gone so badly.
Regardless though, I love my car more each time I get in and drive it.

Toyota owns Lexus, so they probably use the same painting process. But I've been hearing that because of standard regulations they are having to use a different type of paint with less chemicals on vehicles. The paint is very cheap, just like everything else that is being made in todays world.

This is why I had the front of my car covered in a protective paint coating made by 3M less than 2 weeks after buying the car. No paint chips on my car for years to come (for the area most vulnerable that is)

Good luck! I got a rock chip on the top edge of my spoiler. That's right, all the way over the top of the car and nicked the spoiler.

It's the eco-friendly water based paint they put on it, which actually probably the opposite because people might replace their cars more frequently rather than get a paint re-spray. Really stupid idea.

Always happens to me. I'll have my heavy purse on the passenger seat and no alert. Once the cell goes there, it goes off...
