car in limp mode! cel light along with stablity control popped on

so i was just driving my car along the road as usual slightly aggressive and all of a sudden my check engine light popped on along with the stability control off light and now my car is stuck revving between 2-3k rpms and wont go any higher or lower i assume thats just limp mode... luckily i was near an auto shop so i pulled it in there and they scanned it, p2109 was the only code that came up, which they said was tps sensor related.

has this happened to anyone else before? is it common? and how do i get my car out of limp mode so i can drive it to the dealership?

Use just about any bluetooth app (Torque) to clear the code and see if it pops up again. OFTs can also do this.

I'd get it fixed ASAP. That's a safety problem. Sometimes just clearing a code and praying it's OK is fine, but sometimes it'll get you killed if you're pulling out into traffic and it comes back at that very moment. Google that code, there's something wrong

If you clear the code the dealership or mechanic will have no record of it in ecu.

you can clear it by removing battery terminal and press brake pedal. reconnect battery

this is not a common code.
