There are some bugs with the added V4 defs.
I opened the B01C rom with included def and this was the result:


On top the original V4 tune with def, on the bottom is how it should be

Since they are based upon Euro CalId's it was a easy fix (for me), but others aren't that involved with editing tunes.
As Steve99 said, be carefull when editing, when you see weird stuff like in the red part, do not touch it!

Also, I made a quick (not WOT due to traffic and roadworks, max 5000rpm) log on my Belgium GT86 (98ron).

I tried using the v4 e85 tune. Car constantly knocked the IAM down to .76 when under load. On v3 it never went below .93.. Guess it's just too aggressive for my local e85 now. Time to get that flex fuel kit.

I'm going to try the Stage 2 Tune for the catted header tomorrow and keep my OFT mounted for a few days to datalog a little bit. Interested to see how it compares to my modified Stg2 UEL tune

I gave it a try on my wife's car and the v4 e85 tune runs a bit rich on stock headers. At wot i'm seeing the AFR go to 11.2. On the v2 e85 EL tune, AFR is at around 11.8-12 under WOT

Mine ran a bit rich on the stock header with the v4 E85 tune as well, AFRs were perfect when I installed the OFH.

I've been running the v4.0 tunes for about ~5 weeks, no issues to report.

If advance multiplier inital is set to 0.7 then every time you start car iam will start from 0.7, unless it was already less than 0.7.

ie if it was 0.5 it will stay at 0.5

if it was 1 it will reset to 0.7


If you find the iam is almost always 1 then you could reset iam initial in tune to 1. The lower iam initial is to accomodate lower quality fuels like 91 as their is no dedicated 91 tune

Now that the v4 tunes are out in the wild I wanted to share all of the data I collected testing these out.

I first baselined the car on my local dyno running the v3.02 Stage 2+ E85 tune on my otherwise stock 2017.



While I had the car on the dyno I flashed to the v4.0 Stage 2+ E85 tune and picked up a decent amount of midrange.



I also made a video discussing the results going from v3.02 to v4.0.

One week later I went back with the same tune but swapped an OpenFlash 3 header on.

With the base IAM now at .7 what would be a good data point to set the warning at? Anything lower then .7 since it starts as a compromise? Or give it a little leeway and say anything under .6?

Just tried the new tune... i had flashed back to stock a long time ago since my tail pipes were filthy running rich on the previous version tune (honestly don't remember what version it was). I never really messed with it too much and used it more for data logging.

Anywho, i only drove around for 5 miles/15minutes so the throttle is delayed still... but just getting out of the drive way im surprised how much smoother the engine is in first gear. Not sure if its the tune or the muted throttle response or both. I'll get on it a bit on the way home tomorrow.

yeah your going to have to set alarm at 0.6, unless you run 93 fuel and up the iam initial to 0.9 or 1

With the new V4 tunes could I technically just compare the timing tables from this new tune to an actual 91 octane tune and use a value somewhere in between both and then do some logging and fine tune the timing to get a tune that will mostly stay close to 1.0 and use that as a 91 tune and use the plain unmodified v4 tune as a 93/94 tune? Would the timing be the only change between this v4 tune and a 91 octane tune from the past?

Thanx so much for dyno graphs. Imo they would look even better on a dyno jet chart.
