To do a car in basic form you need:
- License for the ECU
- Cable and Dongle (come as one)

You can then add on the Racerom upgrade for access to custom maps and modes 2-4. The 2nd car will just require them to purchase a license for their ECU which can be added to your dongle through the master tuner.

It depends on how much you're into your tuning, I doubt many would think there are tables worth using that are missing and TBH if you're just trying to do a basic tune then it's all there.

If you want a bit more then the way around this is to use Romraider on a base stock ROM, which can be easily found on here or romraider forums, and then transfer the file into ECUtek and then utilise it's advance features. It's long winded if you need to keep going back and forth but gives us end users the extra access you may want.

Wow just got through this entire thread and what a wealth of information. Honestly I'm back on the fence between OFT and ECUTek since I plan on FI next year (maybe even later this year) and honestly need map switching since it's a DD. Gotta save fuel where ever I can but be able to switch to POWAR map when I go to a track or want to have fun. Just the price point is keeping me away, especially for us Canadians with 1.23 exchange rate...

Probably not, best to check the compatibility display when programming the ECU

I would aggree eith @Kodename47 that E00I unlikely to be compatable with prevoius vehicles

I tried D00G on my manual 2013 and it threw 2 CEL çodes P0155 re dash communiçations and another re alternator control, car ran fine though. Suspect changes to dash and altenator, probably same for auto.

Anyone know how to get access to custom map levels in EcuTek?
I can log and view the table data but can't access the actual map.

Is there a RaceRom add on needed that can be downloaded?

You need to purchase it. If you have already then chase up whoever you bought it off to update your dongle.

Did D00C ROM's lose the ability to be flashed to older C versions? I could have sworn on the last ProECU build ZA1JD00C was on the list of flashable roms. So since the latest update provided D00C RaceROM files I recreated my map on D00C hoping it'd fix some of the issues from B01C RaceRom which incidentally hasn't been updated since February of 2014 (or at least not released to us). Except after spending all the time pasting over my new map, I found it was deemed incompatible.

I wish there was a way for retail customers to get access to beta tables. It's tough needing to repaste every single table manually (as we don't have compare ROM either) when I need to edit a table that I can get to in RomRaider but not EcuTek. Currently tuning 1000cc injectors, and not being able to edit low-pulse-width injector comp is rather annoying.

I think there have been issues with compatibility with the newer ROMs on older cars. I also noticed the same with the G series recently.

Looking at ECUteks Twitter feed I noticed that they have managed to get the cylinder knock parameters for the new WRX (FA20 DIT):

I've emailed them about this but is anyone else able to locate these parameters on our ECU? Would be a nice addition to have.

Those looking for an easy , convenient solution to view, log and make changes quickly...windows tablet from HP Stream ($99) works well. Only thing you need is a USB on the go cable and a USB hub.

Increase text size in EcuTek and view critical parameters real time..oil and coolant temp, PI duty, ethanol percentages, AM, ign correction.. Etc

(Oil pressure is Hardwired so that's a separate gauge me)

Make quick changes at the track without that bulky laptop!

Thanks for that...many don't realize that these tablets are now in a ridiculously low price range, and this allows pretty much real time adjustment. Any of deal sites routinely FPs the win8 tablets once they get to 100 bucks, and at that point the whole setup is hard to beat.

I just bought your stage 2 tune! Plugged into the car, downloaded everything, and now I'm at an impasse. Um... Where is it?

I can't find my calibration ID, my Dongle ID, or my tune (is that what a ROM is?). Can't seem to find any guides that tell you where to find this stuff. There's like eight indistinguishible ROMs to choose from, and you may gather I'm not the sort of person that knows how to choose.

I just want my cruise control to start working again. How do I do this?
