I almost purchased the car, but I was shy away when I saw the price. I could have gotten more on a brz. Sorry, the headlight does not worth 3k on my book.

I was just going to take the car bone stock today, and get the parts installed at a later date, but even that seems to be an issue. Apparently, this guy needs all the parts to go on the bill of sale with the car, and nobody else can handle the paperwork, or else it might impact his commission.

I don't know when my work schedule will afford me the chance to actually take the car at this point.
Agony. This falls into the category of customer abuse. Nail the dealership's ass on the customer satisfaction survey you're sure to get post sale. Your comments will be noticed and reported to the dealer principal.

Really looking forward to mine. As a Canadian I got the bad news the other day that we are getting the base head unit with only the Pioneer as a $500 adder. Really stupid how we pay more for less. I'm hoping that we can get the fog light option though!

Sad how obsessed we are over all of this when all we REALLY want is a GT86.

Congrats to the new owners! Eagerly waiting for mine...
I'm the same way myself, except at least you're getting the car. I have a long way to go before I get one of these beauties!

I feel bad for those who are still driving loaners because they traded in their vehicle with expected deliveries that have way past. I had put my deposit down end of April, knowing it would take a month, and got real excited when June approached because they were suppose to be arriving at dealers in June. 23 days later and we've only had not even a enough to count on one hand get their vehicles. If at max 5 people have gotten their 10 series, that is only 0.002% of the 2500. Shameful on Toyota's part.

From doing my searching and research on this forum and elsewhere, it appears as though Australia & South Africa have the DRLs disable at night when headlights come on, but UK they stay on. The South Africans have been discussing how to get dealer to turn them on, but no word on actual fix yet. There must be an ECU setting as I doubt they would have separate parts for UK, Aus, SA, and now USDM.
I can always appreciate a well researched response. Good stuff.

To add to your comment, there has been talk in this forum of USDM dealers adjusting the ECU to turn the current halogen DRLs to "always on" mode - hopefully this can extend to the LED DRLs for your FR-S - I'm assuming there must be some sort of law removing the option for some countries around the world.

@SpyderDan I agree with this guy. They sure don't seem to care about your time at this dealership.

There is an option to turn on/off the light emblems. There is a switch on all the 10 series. I got to play around with a tC 10 series today since I work at the dealership. Also the original shiftknobs will be included if those tacky glowing ones are not to your liking. I'll upload two short vids soon.
