I scheduled my first dyno session for Thursday the 14th. I will be testing some changes to the mix and timing to see what affect they have on toque, I think this is where most of the tuners are getting the dip gains.. the reasearch i have done indicates that in the bottom of the dip a ratio of 60% DI 40% port would give the best torque and fuel economy.. factory is 100% DI in that range. Also playing with the injection timing allows you to line up the injection event with intake valve timing to get the best charge cooling.

Balanced Performance, 9:30 AM . It's a dynojet (fail) but they seem very professional and organized... I miss having access to the dynodynamics i used to tune on
I have two hours booked, It may or may not take that long lol... depends on how the changes i have already made do and how my ideas about the DI system pan out.

The SpecE30 guys just had a dyno day at Balanced Performance not too long ago. They have a pretty nice dyno cell there. I don't believe their dyno is not one of the newer load control Dynojets though so WOT will be all you can tune.

The software has been available to purchase for a couple weeks. As some other members have already been using it and posting images to the community.

PRE racing in PNW just got this. My car is being tuned on the 26th. I'll post results.
*edit* Also if a shop gets a license to tune unlimited cars the only thing the customer "us" is paying for is for the tune. There is no license for the car or cable that "we" have to pay for. I'm paying PRE $300 bucks and bam getting the car tuned. But after their FEB deal of 50% all tunes the price goes up to $600 bucks. But thats no license and a on dyno tune thats directly for your car. Not some simple reflash... In essence it's like a open source for the customer base. *second edit* Has anyone tuned a car with this yet? Last edited by NickFRS; 02-14-2013 at 10:37 PM. |

Has there been another thread with this info? (Also I can't see any dam photos. Love work PCs...) Really starting to get excited about this. Was just talking to my friend about his DSM and his open source tuning... Bastard. Anyhow. Lots of features. We were playing with it and I couldn't help but think how nice it would be... UniChip just isn't quite to my liking yet I don't think. Be really really really really (did I say really?) cool if we got a tuning section and someone had the skills to develop a base E85 map...
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. If someone gets rid of that torque dip, I'll literally donate to you for your benevolence and buy this software... I have an A/T, and with the taller gears, and IT KILLS ME when I'm in that zone. Out of habit with my other two cars, that's typically where my mind likes the motor to zip around at too! (Miata is running. WOO! 01 VVT Swap- also in need of tuning. Hm... E85 miata? Been done? ;P) Anyhow. @epifan and @brzEdit really appreciate this break into another option. |

epifan- The personal edition doesn't allow you to configure custom maps, however I have seen you have worked with some of the guys on here to add new tables to the system.
Will extra tables be given to all Personal edition owners as they are found? And if so will there be a time limit? |
