Tired of my current shop/tuner messing up every chance I blink.

Btw guys that 200whp 160wtq is a stock car baseline vs that 210whp 170wtq non tuned part from what i'm hearing. It's corrected crank #'s....

Nameless 2.5'' combo with Helmholtz. But sorry for misinforming - my header is JDL UEL (did not manage to wait long enough for Nameless)- thought I'm in a different thread.

Anyway, I believe that with Nameless EL and unresonated catback there'll be quite some rasp. I had rasp even w/o header just Namelss OP/FP + Perrin unresonated. Not a lot but still... Perrin unresonated catback alone was just perfect but when you are adding further exaust components it's becoming less sexy.

I take back what I said about hot but not burning hot after yesterdays autocross

I did no more runs today and I can confirm its burning to the touch and im coated. if your uncoated get ready to melt stuff... protect that TRD intake box!

autocrossing with this header is just golden the torque boost at 4k really helps

I will get a surface temp reading on the header tomorrow. I'm really wondering if the folks with really dark ceramic coatings are actually radiating more heat.

You have this installed with your innovate kit correct? Any chance you'd made it to the dyno yet?

Yep, and not yet. Getting close though. I ordered the flexfuel kit yesterday, so once that's on and road tuned i'll be strapping it to the dyno.

The dark ceramic is just not reflecting as much light from outside. It has no effect on the conducted heat from inside the pipe. Darker colours mean less energy is being emitted.

My iat are within 5°F of outside so I'm not too worried. It was pretty cold out but I am curious if the egt from tuning is causing some people to run hotter

So I am wondering if maybe JDL EL w/cat + Nameless OP/FP w/resonator + Perrin unresonated would be tolerable.

From what your saying it looks like Nameless or any other non catted header may be too raspy unless I get a resonator for my Perrin catback.

Was the butt dyno able to feel a noticeable gain by adding the header?
