The Greddy concept here is presentation only equipment with prototype parts, but they will have a full line of products by release time of the FRS/86/BRZ.

It seems that Greddy already has a 114.3 adapter for this car.

Sorry, this car will not be at Cars& Coffee again anytime soon. Not to burst bubbles, but just warning you so you don't drive 50 miles to find that it's not there.

This is one of only two cars Scion has in the USA now and it's not a final Pre-production model yet with lots of details still being decided on final trim on smaller things like interior bits and pieces. As such, this car has to go back to TMC and a bit more little things taken care of to make sure what we get is perfect when its at the dealers

It's also likely that this will be shipped around on a busy schedule for random presentations and R&D tasks. I'll keep you posted if I run into any public events that I am allowed to share information on. Most of the time, however, I am not at liberty to say where and when.

Expect a lot more liberal viewing in public places in March, after the Pre-Production cars are possibly due to arrive at various departments at Toyota USA HQ.

Notice: The background pattern of this cluster panel is the same pattern used on the front grill, and its a repetitive motif of the old Toyota logo, T shaped, designed specifically for the 86/FRS by Mr.Tada and his design coordinator.

Not everything. They do make their suspension bits and the stuff they do design themselves is awesome.

Also seen on the side of the doors (where the buttons are), the dual AC unit and some other places.

Yes, in fact, the engine has been throughly reworked for this specific use on the car, and the GDI allows the engine to have ultra-high 12.5:1 compression rate that makes the engine crackle with life and response. And because the D4-S injection is a two stage injection GDI+Standard manifold, the tendencies for detonation is greatly decreased with judicious programming, and inherent nature of GDI having no fuel too far before the TDC point. Not to mention the near 34mpg that it puts out while having a very linear torque with peak HP of 198 bhp (nearly 200hp...)

There is also a Y pipe resonator that splits the intake noise and channels it to the cabin like many new sports cars today, which allows the cabin to have controlled amounts of very orchestrated engine noise, without having a loud exhaust or intake system. (Thanks Yahama acoustics, Subaru and Toyota engineers!) The exhaust noises and mechanical noise also has very differnt note than the old Subaru EJ with port tuned 4-2-1 header in stock form! Mr.Tada says the acoustic element of this car was very important and he spent at least several months listening and calibrating late into the night. So this Greddy exhaust this time sort of nice to present, kind of made me miss a chance to see what Tada-san really had created. But that's ok, this was a great move by Scion PR to allow Greddy to do some quick tuning, and result was a stunning car at least visually for now.

Thank you Moto-san for this little gem of information; knowing this car is close to 34MPG highway (I assume it's highway) means it'll be clearly more efficient than most of it's rivals and still a quick little bugger.

I love it.
