fatoni, ToyotaObsession, you need to get into the political-business structure of Japan and Korea, the Zaibatsu-Keiretsu vs the Chaebol. They are both different and are in a battle. Who will win?

Im a very happy 2010 Genesis owner. Ive tracked the car (auto-x, drag and some lapping) just for fun, Ive driven it in the snow and rain and I daily it to work and it has never let me down. The tranny shifts a little rough when cold and the interior plastics are kinda cheap, but both these traits were common in my 07 Civic Si too. Everything is still tight and rattle free and nothing has broken or needed repair. I enjoy it much more then my Si or even my wifes old 07 Mini Cooper. The turbo could use a little more HP, but thats an easy fix with a reflash/tune and some bolt-ons. The V6 is plenty fast for most situations though.

For 2013, the Genesis is supposed to receive some minor updates as seen in the previous spy photos. A new front end (lights, grill) new rear tails (LED) and new wheels and a more powerful V6 and turbo.

The next generation which is supposed to be 2015 is rumoured to be getting a V8 and AWD, but who knows. Im pretty happy with it now.

I love the FR-S though. Smaller and lighter then the Genesis. More of a pure drivers car, while the Genesis is more like sporty touring car.

Small and quick vs big and fast.

The Mini was a very fun little car. Very go-kart like. It was very unreliable though.

The Si I did enjoy. My wife and I each had one, thats how much we liked them. An excellent handling car for a FWD. Great on gas and reliable, but compared to the Genesis, it was just a glorified econo box. I had high hopes for the new 2012 Civic, but Honda dropped the ball IMO. Looks basically the same, slightly more powerful engine and the same weird interior.

The Genesis just feels better being RWD and after having it, I dont think I will ever go back to a FWD performance car. Mine is a turbo, so it only has a little more HP then the Si, but alot more TQ. Brembo brakes, a nicer interior with better options, HIDs, etc. A great all around package. I never modded it (other financial obligations), but I know many who have. With a reflash and bolt-ons, most are making 260-280 whp and reliable. Im probably going to trade it in next year for a new V6 one anyway.

For a cheap RWD performance car, there really isnt much else until the FR-S comes out.

I like the placement of the turbo boost gauge and oil temp. Starting to look better. Just wish they would drop some weight off the thing.
