.....this better be with Bespoke. I was anticipating the car around this price range but other competing cars may have more options for the same amount of money. I know Hyundais are generously loaded. The least Scion could do is make the bespoke standard. It's about freaking time the price was released. :happy0180:

so high... i guess my dream is crashed... mine and many other college students like me ... dam im so hoping this is not the price .. i was expecting somewhere around 22k.... i was crossing my fingers and hoping so much but well i guess they going to lose a lot of people that were expecting a lower price b/c you also have to think in taxes and fees and all that crap added to the MRSP .... which since is a scion we get no discounts... plus like i said is a fcking scion not even a toyota... scion is a brand for like * supposedly* younger people yeah right... this price is too far from all those others scion cars... i guess bye bye FR-S .. if anything i rather buy a WRX or a miata for closer prices!

So basically with that logic for 24K I can also get a Rolls Silver Spirit or a high mileage Maserati, the e36 is high maintenance and don't get me started on rotaries and 10 y/o Corvettes, different pokes for different blokes I guess

Subaru charges at least 30% more to Canadians than the US. I 100% expect the BRZ to cost 30% more in Canada than the US because Subaru hates us.
Not sure if the 8.5% rule always applies. The iq is the same price in Canada and the US

It's funny how fast shit hits the fan when the price has been announced!

Most of the rumors have always been between 23-25K yet most wanted it below 23K!

In fact, Ferdinand Porsche designed his cars with an inverted front-wheel drive layout, because he was afraid that the Civic SI's layout is way too much for most poeple's driving abilities. Did you know that Ayrton Senna was driving his Civic SI in reverse (he realized he didn't have enough talent to drive it in forward gears) and that gave birth to the NSX? BOOM, every day you learn something new
reminds me of something Clarkson would say on Top Gear. Price is in its competitions range. Hust hoping the Limited is around 30k out the door.

I can kinda understand the similar price since the BRZ is a more advanced car with its own engine, new chassis, better transmission, D4-S, and so forth. But just how many people are going to walk into a dealer look at the WRX then the BRZ see the similar price and not just get a WRX. I like the idea of this car enough to pay WRX money on it but I would be more tempted to get a WRX and tune whatever issues I have with a WRX out.

Hey hey hey, I see your point and agree with all of those except the corvette part. I never had issues with my old Z06, that thing was the most reliable car I've ever owned. My only gripe was almost crashing it all the time because it was technically my first car lol.

Yep, just wishful thinking at work in many cases.

Maybe you're right. The used XF-BRZ comparison might be a better comparison price wise.

I guess I could try for a used 328i. I could probably get it for around $25,000.

Looks like inflation strikes again. I remember when Toyota was eluding to a low 20s price point, but not now. Plus, $ to Yen sucks.

Seems like not long ago you could get a Z or an RX-8 for this kind of cash. Cars keep going up but incomes don't...remember when you could get a TT for just over $30k?
