Motul 300V Mileage

Hello,

I kept hearing the Motul 300V is not meant for long duration btw EO change.

Just couldnt find the recommended mileage online.
For regular city driving (+ infrequent spirited driving),
what is a reasonable mileage ... 6200mile/10000km ?

I'm using 5w-30 (Dealer only have Motul or Shell Helix 5w-30)

Thanks

I have used 300V and track my car quite a bit. I don’t use my car as a DD, so when it’s running it’s running at high rpm (I have a 5.29 rear gear). I change my oil every 2500 Miles (4000Km). I change the transmission fluid, brake fluid and rad water every year, I change the LSD oil every other oil change.

Blackstone told me I should go 7,000 miles between changes based on how my 300v looked after 5,000 miles.

This is including Boost, E85, and Monthly track usage. Oil cooler too of course.

That's frickin' awesome!

I've read on BITOG that 300V has a pretty solid additive package, making it capable of very reasonable drain intervals while simultaneously being able to hold up to engines/usage that can be harder on oil.

Sorry, I was mistaken, they told me 7,000, not 8,000.

Still good though.

I'll try 7,000 and I'll send it back to them with more 300v

Love this oil so far.

I was confused about what it meant! Disregard that. I did not add any oil to the car between oil changes and have clarified it with blackstone.

I have only ever ran Motul 300v 5w30 in my car, aside from what came in it from the factory. I have done many track days, some with 120 degree ambient temperature.

I have gone 10,000 miles consistently on e85. I had Blackstone run a few reports and they were saying I could even push 12,000 miles.

Now that I am boosted I change it around ~5000k miles just for peace of mind.

Do I recommend doing this? Probably not, but I got lazy and tired of spending $120 every 2 months to change the oil.

How much of the 10k miles was street vs track?

I would guess around ~350 miles of track time per change. Usually 4 track days per oil change so whatever that equates too.

Everything else is street miles, primarily highway.

I plan to, I just want to see if 5k+ has been seen by others. Also want to get an idea of when the first change should be to send it in and know if there was hope of not having to change my oil every 2 months lol
