Did this last night and drove around a little with it. It does back fire which is pretty cool and I think it scared a few cars around me as well as myself in the beginning.
At low speed the car does jerk around a little more than normal. Or maybe the ecu is still learning the new tune. Wish it didn't jerk at low speeds, maybe it will go away after the ecu learns?
Sweet spot is when your cruising and then slowing down and hold the throttle a little bit and it will just pop like popcorn!
Anyone know if there are any negatives to this? Bad for injectors, headers, exhaust pipes, or anything else? I don't want to cause excessive wear on things. Any ideas would be helpful!

Why would he help you burn your cat, valves and whatever else up? Do it yourself if you want it.

Thanks for the useless reply.

If you took time to read the thread you would read that he was going to release a tune including this.

The less resonators/cats the better. Even a Q300 style muffler can produce loud sharp pops. The Q300 on my FRS had a cat upstream, so it is quite mild.

The Q300 on my WRX wagon did not pop at all with factory cats in place, but once I got a catless downpipe it will produce ear splitting pops and flame.

Not sure what timing the FRS is running, but I have the WRX going as low as -15* timing as well as some tip in enrichment tweaks and adjusting the "in gear idle" timing

Am i wrong that:
backfires/flames - dumping lot of unburnt fuel in exhaust.
unburnt fuel @ cats - high temps there, easily melting that ceramic mesh.

Unless one wants intentionally to damage cats, i fail to find why this should be tried on car that still has cats (be those stock or aftermarket ones).

That'd be the best, but it won't happen. I have no clue about tuning and i am not going to touch the files myself it'd be nice if we had a library of tune files. But that isn't going to happen either.
