This car is nuts!!! 200 hp?!? No way.

I got to drive an FRS for the first time today. I have a manual R/T Challenger now (425hp) that feels like an ocean liner. I test drove a Camaro yesterday, and even with the 323hp, it felt like it didn't want to go anywhere, smooth as a Cadillac, no road feel, but a beautiful thing to look at.

The FRS has 200 hp but feels worlds faster than the Camaro and hauls more ass than my Challenger. I was really surprised. The closest thing I have driven to compare it to would be a Porsche. It feels the same size as a Porsche and has that same kind of road feel. The Camaro totally lacks that road feel.

I totally understand what they mean in the reviews when they say that this is a driver's car. This car was all over the place, took corners like a lunatic, and was screeching tires.

That said, I am not used to the clutch at all. The Camaro is pretty close to my Challenger. The FRS was a completely different beast. You definitely had to shift it more and it was way harder for me to get the thing started. I stalled it like three times when we first started moving.

Is the clutch feel different on foreign compared to domestic cars? Is there something about how this car revs?

I'm assuming this is Toyota's new Supra. I'm happy that they finally have a sports car in the lineup again since it's been a while.

This is NOT the new supra, more like the Corrola GTS. The FT-1 Concept is the basis for the new supra

No way is this the new Supra. The Supra was a beast of car. This is in a different category. Yet a fun car to drive. A v8 muscle car would run all over this car on the straights. Twisties is a different ball game.

We weren't going straight. Yeah, the Challenger would kill it, but this car "felt" faster.
(Supra as far as Toyota's last sports car, at least in my mind)

The Mustang, Camaro and Challenger even with their base engines are in a position to defeat the FRS/BRZ in a straight line with relative ease. There's only so much a NA 2.0L can put out and the weight advantage of the FRS/BRZ simply isn't enough to offset the brute force of those American cars. Perhaps it was more of a sensation of driving a slow car fast? Or even driving a nimble, light car that isn't weak. I will say many cars do feel a lot heavier after driving a FRS/BRZ.

The FRS/86/BRZ might "feel" faster than those cars because you're sitting so low and close to the road.

R/T Challenger does not have 425HP...

It has 375HP...

I use to have an SRT8 Challenger...470HP/470lb Torque...

The BRZ is like a scalpel.

The Challenger is like a Machete.

And before the OP comes on and claims to have "new cat back exhaust and CAI and its up to 425..."
I want to see a Dyno Chart.
Dodge did a great job massaging a lot of HP/Torque from these engines.
Only easy way to increase the power is with FI...and with FI...you would be at way more than 425HP in the 5.7.

My car is not stock. Now I need to prove hp...ugh. You want a dyno chart??! Oh man. No, not exhaust. I'm not getting into a pissing match with you.

Anyway, you guys have a nice car. That's it. Take it for what it is. I liked it. Horsepower isn't everything.
