Fort Worth Meet

EDIT**

Fort Worth "FRS/BRZ/86/Whatever You Drive" meet Thursday, November 14 @ 7:00 PM. We'll be parking on the upper level of the parking garage next to Torchy's Tacos. Address is 912 Northton St, Fort Worth, TX 76104. You can order off the normal menu or there is their "Secret Menu" that has some good eats on it as well as the Taco of the Month.

Taco of the Month

HOLY MOLE - fried turkey, Oaxacan mole sauce, Mexican rice, avacado, queso fresco, and fresh cilantro served on your choice of tortilla.

Secret Menu Items

JACK OF CLUBS – a fried egg, potatoes, black beans, crips corn tortilla strips, shredded cheese, cilantro, sour cream and Diablo. Served on a flour tortilla.
ACE OF SPADES- a jalapeno sausage link, grilled brisket, a fried egg, green chile queso, cilantro, cotija cheese, sour cream and Diablo. Served on a flour tortilla.
TRAILER PARK HILLBILLY STYLE – fried chicken, chorizo, chopped bacon, green chiles, green chile queso, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, pablano ranch on the side. Served on a flour tortilla.
MAD COW- fajita beef, black beans, grilled corn, jack cheese, creamy chipotle and cilantro. Served on a flour tortilla.
THE HIPSTER- panko fried tuna, with green chilies, chopped bacon, black bean relish, cotija cheese, avocado sauce, cilantro and a wedge of lime. Served on a flour tortilla.
THE MADATOR- chopped brisket, grilled jalapeno, pickled onions, jack cheese, avocado, sour cream and cilantro. Served with tomatillo sauce on a crisp corn tortilla wrapped in a flour tortilla.
GREEN CHILE PORK MISSIONARY STYLE- green chile pork, pickled onions, guacamole, jack cheese, cilantro, creamy chipotle on a crisp corn tortilla inside of a flour tortilla

I know there's already a couple of meets out there in the DFW area that people can attend, I've even been to a couple myself. It's good fun and all but for some of us I believe it is too far of a drive to make the trip every month. I'm a little further out than most but even from my brother's house in Fort Worth, it's still about an hour drive one way depending on traffic.

So my brother (Rue) and I were wanting to do something for the ones who want to get together and shoot the shite over some good grub, but need it to be a little closer to home. We were thinking either hitting up Freebirds behind Hulen mall on Overton Ridge where parking is plentyful, or Torchy's Tacos off of I30 at Rosedale where there will probably be more of a wait for food because that place stays busy and we'd have to park in the parking garage in the parking lot there. Both places have good eats and parking shouldn't be an issue at either location. Just one location is closer to 20 and the other is closer to 30.

I'd drive to Fort Worth to meet up. I would vote for Torchy's Tacos. Pending date and time it shouldn't be a problem for me. Be great to see more people from the DFW area.

Not sure. Just seeing if there was interest in it. Looks like there a a few people and that's good enough for me. I think my brother mentioned Thursday nights around 7:00. I think that's roughly what the NTX monthly meet is like anyways. I don't know if this will be a weekly thing or biweekly or monthly. We'll see.

Look at the map I provided. You'll see where I mean. They run parallel but end up merging together right before university. I've made the trip numerous times coming from weatherford. I take I30 and exit Rosedale.

Poop!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm personally looking forward to meeting the people I'd see driving around on a regular basis.

I liked Thursday because the wife will not be at work so I won't have to worry about bringing the kids with me.

Torchy's, I suspect, is gonna be super busy Friday through Sunday. Thursday is still probably gonna be a little bit of a wait to get food but totally worth it to me.

First person to talk about crickets gets kicked in the junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
