Speaking from experience, I had white fogs but switched to the yellow bulbs because the output of the white bulbs did not match the headlights. Which ever you decide, just be aware that you want to make sure they match or go with yellow. I like my yellow fogs.

Light output will be yellow whether using yellow lense with clear bulb or yellow bulb with clear lense, a yellow lense with yellow bulb would be an even deeper yellow though. Yellow is the best color temperature for fog lights as it will provide you with the best contrast even with a lower lumen level than white - too much light is actually a bad thing, you loose contrast and detail with a bright white light and you are dilating your pupils more.

Same thing for yellow or amber shields on a helmet, make the contrast pop greatly and you can see every little thing on track...first thing that goes on any new helmet for me is an amber/yellow shield. Yellow light is a much more functional wavelength than white for any lighting needs where you want more clarity/contrast and to see greater depth perception in your vision. If you just want to light things up at a farther distance while blowing out the contrast and not care about the loss of both detail and perspective, then white is fine. Personally I'd never go with a white light wavelength for fog lights... especially when used for actual foggy conditions.

getting actual yellow bulbs/led/hid will be way more yellow than just film by itself. when its a "regular" color bulb with yellow tint/film on the fog cover, the light at night looks dingy... if anything, it looks more yellow during the day.

with yellow bulbs only and clear fog covers, the light at night is pretty much pure yellow, but in the day the fog light looks clear with a little bit of yellow in the middle.

with yellow bulbs AND yellow tint on cover, the foglight at day and night both look a deep yellow.

i personally like yellow foglights over white foglights. both in terms of visibility and aesthetically.

i have a blue fr-s with the OEM fogs. I ordered the fog light film/tint for $10.

During night time, you can definitely see the road better with the yellow fogs. The light shown on the road is YELLOW. no hints of white at all.

@zman wow blinding. Not necessarily a good thing. Post pics of the light on a wall, and show us how much you are blinding other people.

Need opinions on my frs :D

@swarb they are not that bad, just the phone picked up a lot of glare and I only use them during the day and bad weather where it doesn't affect other drivers much

Sorry to bring this thread back but i could really use some opinions as well. I have a silver ignition frs, would it look better with clear or yellow foglight? And has anyone had any trouble with using the yellow nokya bulbs in there fogs and it burning up the housing or wire harness? Thanks guys.
