OK, so that makes sense. We have a Lambo dealer in town and a bunch of people in West Lake Hills that have far more money than they really need...

True story.
About 10 days ago, I was driving along 2222 west of Austin in the hills, a four lane road that runs through the Lower Colorado river gorge, when a pretty new Porsche Carrera GTS convertible (top down) came up behind me pretty fast, clearly wanting to play. We drove down that more or less empty winding road together at a rate that was, let us say, above the speed limit for about a mile, having a great time. No racing, just good fun. As we rounded a bend, we both saw an Austin PD car in the opposite lane. You have never seen two cars drop to the speed limit so fast. The cop rolls on by with no one pulled over (although I'm pretty sure the cop would have gone for the Por$che.) At the bottom of the hill, we both stopped at the red light. I rolled down my window. The driver of the other car looked over at me and said, "That was close!" Then I recognized him: it was Michael Dell.

Been telling him that.
Steve, you're way too young. Trust me. Save your ears.

They have a lot of plans, but this is probably the most impressive.

I've been looking at houses lately, and in my area it's very very difficult to find something in a decent area (ie: not in the city) that doesn't look like a trash heap for less than $160k-$180k.
Now, I COULD afford a house in that range, even on my own income. I work at a union steel mill, but I'm not sure this job will be around in 10, 20, 30, etc years due to trade policies and what have you. I do have a backup plan. It doesn't pay as much, but I'll be able to make it through so long as my fiancée/wife works. Recently, I've been looking at buying an acre or so of land and putting a modular home on said land. This is the route my parents went 25 some years ago and its a pretty nice place. I've found a few lots for sale in a pretty decent area and have been looking on different modular home websites and found a couple pretty nice layouts (3bed, 1+ bath single story and a garage, the price they listed included the cost of land prep, assembly etc) for about the same price or less than the completed homes in the same area. This is ridiculously overwhelming. Why are people selling (not so nice) houses for so much money, when I could buy property and build for the same if not less than what they're selling for? Ugh. Growing up sucks. And on top of that any plans to big turbo the Fusion are pretty much gone. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk |

Just like how when first turning on my desktop, you can hear all the fans, especially the smaller pull fans (thats always running at max speed). Then after 20 minutes or so, you dont notice it anymore... |
