Airaid is good stuff.

I was actually worried from what the internet had told me also. But gave it a shot anyway because I wanted something that dropped in easily and would allow me use it with the Innovate Supercharger when that goes on.

I really believed was going to need to custom tune the Airaid intake to compensate for changes from flow pass the MAF sensor, but I did not make one single change. I was actually quite surprised and blown away it made more power across the board and never needed to change one thing.

In my books definitely of the better intakes. Makes power and no tuning needed even on aftermarket tunes or custom dyno tunes.

William Knose

Would you recommend the air raid for your innovate customers yet? I'd be willing to pick one up if you think it'd help and want to do some testing.

I would think this is a very good system to use as a replacement for the stock intake. Since I can literally bolt it in and not change anything on the tune, I would think it would work well. Though we do need someone to test and I am more than willing to review logs.

I'm ordering a berk dual exit muffler delete, berk car delete pipe, and k&n drop in air filter for my 13 6spd. How much do you charge to tune? I would only run this map for spring and summer as I daily my frs and during the cold ohio winters it wouldn't work out unless I had flex fuel.

To add some context to this, I only made 10 horsepower over this with a Fullblown turbo on Fullblown's 91 base map on this dyno. Numbers are awesome.

I am actually working on a new switchable map to start offering which will of course include this E85 map and 91 (or 93 octane). I have the E85 map on our development car and have been testing the tune for about 3000 miles so far with no issues and Advance Multiplier at 1.00.

More info to come on this map.

You heard correct a completely stock Subaru BRZ (Scion FRS, Toyota 86) with the following parts:

- stock headers
- stock front pipe
- stock over pipe
- stock exhaust
- stock intake
- stock engine
- stock transmission
- stock rims
- stock tires
- stock paper intake filter
- stock fuel rails
- stock fuel pump
- stock fuel injectors

Items used for breaking 200 wheel horsepower:
- EcuTeK ProECU
- E85 Fuel
- K&N Oil Filter
- Motul 8100 Oil

The car was run in 5th gear (closest to 1:1 drive ratios) on an AWD DynoJet Dyno. After only a few revisions to our original E85 tune (not 200+) we were able to dial on the 201 whp on an utterly stock vehicle.

* We also performance a 4th gear pull which netted us 197 wheel horsepower as seen in the dyno chart in the video.

Cheers,
William Knose
Nice Job! I am glad to see people getting more power. This gives me hope. I really don't think we will see 240HP N/A. I mean if we do great. But with this Tune, Full bolt-ons, I am betting 215-220 max, but thats this really good compared to stock!

How the >H< are you going to compare a turbo basemap with an optimized tune? The purpose of a basemap is to prevent your engine from blowing up while you drive it to a tuner to dial everything in. It is designed to work with all potential fuels, in every condition.

Considering its advertised at 280 whp, made specifically for 91 octane and a dyno graph is thrown in to boot, (not to mention it was revised twice via e tuning) calling it a basemap is purely a CYA measure. That said, it was purely to complement the numbers not to get off topic.

I think the 215-220 mark is pretty easy to obtain with just bolt ons but 240 is the goal. Will it be obtainable, to be honest I am not sure but that is why we put those numbers out there, to see if we can figure out a way.

So far we are at about 210whp with just the Airaid intake added to this tune. So now it will be onto a full exhaust and potentially some other items, we shall see.

Cheers,
William Knose
