Drive an Exotic (Living Social Deal) worth it?

https://www.livingsocial.com/events/...ndlestick-park

Are these sorts of things worth it. I'd love to have a spin in a ferrari, but its a pretty steep price?

Just like to get an opinion from someone who has done something similar and weather or not they found it worthwhile.

For 250 I'd sign up. Seems like the lowest cost of entry I've ever seen.

You're in San Fran? Find someone in the local Ferrari, Lambo, etc club and see if they want to drive an FRS. You would be surprised how easily some exotic car owners will let someone drive their cars, as long as it's among caring enthusiasts.

3 laps? Doesn't seem worth it.

Yeah, at my company there are plenty of supercars and everybody seems to eyeball the FR-S. Might finagle a swap

Looks like it'll cost close to double the groupon price. $100 a lap seems like a lot...

I wouldn't be as motivated to do this, but that's just me... I always make the awkward decisions, I suppose...

My GF bought me the groupon for Imagine Lifestyles event at Gillette Stadium here in Boston. $100 for the groupon + $50 autox insurance plus $30 for a video. A little expensive, but pretty awesome. I've never driven an exotic before, but I got to do 3 laps in a Gallardo Balboni edition, pretty sweet!

There was no rev limit, or any of that other crap I've seen before. Pretty fun if you've got the $ for it!

Also, no one asked me for "Track Insurance" and you do have to sign a waiver and they keep your card on file in case you wreck. It was a legit event. Everyone was nice and no one hassled me for additional costs, etc. It does explicitly states on their website that autox insurance is required. I'm usually skeptical of things like this, but it turned out to be quite fun.
