PNW Trip

So the wife and I are looking at a visit to PNW in October.
The tentative plan is to Fly into Seattle and stay there Oct 22 and 23. Drive down to Portland for the 24th and 25th. Then back to Seattle for the 26th.
As odd as it sounds we picked Seattle for the main stay due to it's having casinos (the wife does not feel she has been on vacation unless a casino is involved).
My big question is what is there to do in both these cities other than visit some of you jokers? She will pretty much stay parked at the casino so I need some stuff to kill time.

Tons of great places to eat in both cities. Some great drink choices as well. Portland area is close to a lot of natural scenic things like waterfalls, mountain, beaches, rivers, lakes. I guess it depends on what you like. Pick something you like and use Google with the city name after it and I'm sure you'll come up with a lot of places.

We have done Vegas about 10 times. I am sick of Vegas. Believe me if she had her way it would already be booked. for there.

Clearwater Casino in Suquamish has a shuttle bus to pick you up at the downtown Seattle / Bainbridge ferry dock.

Brand new Casino on I5 down near Vancouver installed a couple months ago.
Ilani Casino

Lots of time burners and sights to see. C'mon down.

If you're much for sight seeing then Chambers Bay in Tacoma/University Place is really pretty (not a drive but walking down by the water and in an old quarry turned golf course/park). If you want a nice twisty drive go to Mount Rainier on your way down to Portland. If you're into abandoned structures then check out the Satsop nuclear powerplant on your way to Portland. Not much to do there but I think they're so cool to look at.

If you're into airplanes and such, try to visit the Museum of Flight (about 20 minutes south of downtown Seattle).

In Tacoma, about 30 minutes south of Seattle.... the LeMay Car Museum is a must if you're a gearhead!

About 30 minutes south of Portland... the World of Speed in Wilsonville is kind of cool...

Food, shopping, Space Needle, Pike Place, EMP Museum, Capitol Hill bars and clubs, ride a ferry, drive across one of the floating bridges, watch some guy throw fish (oh wait.. that's Pike Place again), take a tour of Bungie or Valve or some other random game/software company, ride another ferry, take the monorail and get stuck on it for half a day when it breaks (this isn't a joke), and food.

There's a K1 speed in Redmond, east of Seattle. And gas powered carts on an outdoor course in Kent at Pacific Raceways, south of Seattle.
