I'm surprised he hasn't been IP banned yet haha. Like an aggressive tumor he just keeps popping up.

To be fair, it is rather difficult to form a complete and cognitive thought when the only thing going through your head is, "Christ, I want a doughnut."

Wow yeah often times it's better just to hit something shaving off what speed you can rather than total your car trying to swerve it seems. Maybe slight maneuvering...

Somewhat on-topic: I had a situation late last winter where I went around a blind turn at far more speed than I should in the FiST, only to find a deer darting across the road. Being the good little ex-WRX driver I am, my first instinct was to floor it. Figured if I wasn't going to be able to stop in time, I'd at least go for max distance after impact. Thankfully the deer was smarter than I am and slowed down, so the only damage was to the driver's side wing mirror. The deer got up and ran away, likely asking if anyone got the number of that Mustang.

If I am driving a semi fully loaded with drywall you can bet your ass I am going to flatten that deer and not swerve one inch.

In the car I am not so sure I would have the same reaction though. Easy to say now that I would just hit it but the actual actions my body took when it happened could be totally different.

It's not good for the battery to leave the lights on like that.

Yeah I almost wrecked my 88 Chevy Blazer in Vermont because of a Moose. He wasn't even on the road but walking towards it and when I hit the brakes they locked up (downhill in snow) and I fishtailed both ways before I finished overcorrecting and straightened out. Luckily I didn't wreck and the Moose decided not to cross.

They went out after a couple of minutes when something let go and dropped the batteries onto the top of the box and blew all the circuits (and likely the batteries) in a spectacular shower of sparks.

On the plus side there was not one drop of fuel spilled that I could see or smell.
