Give it time. We have the EM guys doing their work (such as Phil above working with Andrew Nam at Hydra, AEM is on it, Cobb, and then there's ecutek *ugg*), the guys making turbo kits (look at Don at Accelerated Performance or the guys at Treadstone. Raffi has told me that Full Race is going to wait about 18 months) and those of us doing internals to take the abuse. Aside from my usual hard parts, I'm working with the guys at Deatchwerks for some fuel solutions using my background in DI and GDI.
500whp is a rather everyday thing in an EJ...in my world. With the new 'slight' changes to the FA (fundementals are the same), their will be some learning curve but I foresee things getting rolling quickly. I will say that 500whp on the street, I think would be scary. I only know of a few street uses that guys use that for... Phil, please tell me the Hydra will be able to use a pot to control the traction control! I'm also still wondering when I might be able to pick up my third Hydra. I'm going to need one in about 6-8 weeks for the new engine. Perhaps I'll just bug you at VIR tomorrow. Last edited by 3MI Racing; 07-18-2012 at 11:45 AM. |

So what's the point of having ungodly amounts of horsepower when the max you'll be going is 50-60mph most of the time? Sure for the tracks with a few straights it may be beneficial but are you sacrificing the overall feel of the car? If this was a car that I could see being a drag car, then sure I'd be more open to it. But now it just seems like people want to do it for the "car peen" award and I just don't quite get that.

The backlash on this guy isn't so much about whether the car should be turbo'd or not. It's about the 4 or so threads about guys like you already in the works that he didn't even bother to look for.

We'll be busy shaking out lots of new things on the Turn In Concepts car as well. Maybe over a beer at the end of the day is a better idea |
