Been using and programming AutoCAD for almost 30 years and so far I haven't had any problems with 3D. TurboCAD works as well, if not better. Wouldn't mind getting hands on point cloud of the car.

I know autocad can be used for 3d, but i'd personally not use it for design work where you need the flexibility that 3d design softwares allow.

i don't do much with 3d design, but i do plenty in 2d-- i design circuit boards in cad because everything works how i think, then how the circuit board programs tend to work.

i've been using progecad 2011 because their licence fees are cheaper then autocad.

Sounds like some of the idiots that I have to deal with. I'll call them up and tell them what problem i'm having with the part and/or drawing they uploaded. And 90% of the time the response I get is "well it works fine for me".

I have that same issue with working with other people and that exact response, I work mostly with Solidworks and Catia.
