I'm running the 300v 0w-20 high rpm currently. I think I still need to put on 2000~ miles to hit 7k.

I'll be sending it in to Blackstone and Oil Analyzers Inc. Results will get posted in the UOA thread.

I like the way this thread is going. I can't wait to see all of the different data.

P.S. Who loves the distinct smell of the 300V?

Subscribed to see the UOA. We just put this into one of our project cars, and we noticed a difference in the way the car felt, it's pretty amazing stuff.

the oil change interval should be determined on how you drive the car. If you drive the piss out of it daily, and do autox etc, i would do it every 3k. But if you just go around town/highway 5-7.5k.

We recommend determining OCI by used oil analysis. The UOA is conclusive irrefutable evidence

I think there's a malfunction in my link above.
From:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=13286&page=9

The above shows a Blackstone viscosity of 7.25 cSt's at 100C with 6,000 miles on the oil. Motul's data sheet shows this oil starts at 7.97. Given possible variations in kinematic viscosity from batch to batch from Motul, and given a slight margin of error in the Blackstone reading, I would say that there is very little, if any, shear in the sample above.

The TBN was a very good 3.4 with plenty of additives left to neutralize acids and Blackstone saying the oil could handle 8,000 miles.

"The Smell of Success" is the my Motul reps calls it.

They pull the Motul label off & put the TRD one on. Specs are identical. I'm running this in my Altezza's Torsen LSD & 6MT. Bit of an experiment for Motul NZ. Shifts are a bit stiff on colder mornings but great when warm.

As for the TRD/Mobil 85w140 for the TRD LSD it only for warrant purposes. I'd run Motul over Mobil any day

Is motul 300 for both trans and diff a good choice for daily driving?

Throwing my hat in as someone who picked up Motul 8100 0w20 and 300v for the transmission & differential. I put them in @ 1k miles after break in. Currently going on 2500. I certainly do not intend to replace the transmission or differential fluid every 3000 miles unless I have a damn good reason.

Thanks to No Limit for the good price on the fluid package!
