Angled Exhaust - Pics/Video

Hey guys,

I just had a custom axle-back made by a local exhaust shop and wanted to share it with you. I couldn't really find anything like this on the market, so that's why I went custom (Cheaper, too).

My goal was to have the exhaust follow the lines set by the rear bumper and I think it turned out pretty well.

Other mods include:

JDL UEL Header
JDL Overpipe.

I see everyone talk about exhuast pricing, and I thought buy my EVO3 was a steal.. I mean I paid 2300$ for the exhaust on my GSXR.. I was really expecting to pay 1500$ or more easily for a cat back on the car.. Hell the bike exhaust almost fits in my hand fingertip to fingertip..

I'd throw the greddy away if Akrapovic came out with an exhaust for our cars

I like it, but it looks like the tips are going to be melting the black plastic in the near future.

That was definitely a concern, but the tips really don't get super hot (maybe because they are dual wall?). In any case, we left a little gap (can't see it in the pics).

I will report back if melting happens!

Awesome.

Looks like it was very well put together. Like others though I have concerns about the bumper melting, you will have to update us in the future if it does become an issue.

Video up.

Also, might as well report on the bumper situation:

I've been driving the car pretty hard (hit 90 today in Phoenix), trying to get the exhaust tips as hot as possible. So far, so good - they've gotten pretty hot and not had any ill effect on the bumper. Just for reference, there is about a 3/8" gap between the tip and bumper.
