Hey family, been a while.

Made some noise today and thought I would share

Felt slower and less responsive/aggressive after I took off the exhaust, even tho I was on low boost only, so on it went when I came back home lol

When you change the valves did you experience any change in idle? No porting or polishing done?

Hey, can’t really say if the valves changed idle, as I did a complete engine rebuild.

You having issues??

No havent started with the engine build yet, i have most of the parts for the block and the head and since im changing the springs and retainers might as well change the valves while im at it, just concerned that even with oem sized GSC valves the idle may may get erratic

even on low boost you were having trouble with traction. Nice clean build

It’s not erratic what so ever.

Some pretty big numbers and maybe I missed this, but did you do the CD009 swap for the tranny or are you still using the stock transmission?

Who did the engine build?

Thanks!

Yes I have already done the Mazworx CD008 swap.

My engine was built locally (in Antigua) by a friend of mine who has been in the car ”game” for some times now.

okay so i skimmed through most of this thread and seemingly have the same issues you had.

The startup and idle issues unless you apply some throttle. When hot, the car would just fire up and idle fine.

But i also have another weird issue of high LTFT(20-25%).

your tuner just fixed the issue via tune? I've pulled the motor to check the timing. I doubt the valves are bent because the car has been idling/on for like 20-30 minutes at the most. had some load on it for like 2 minutes maybe.
I'd love to solve this dang issue, car has been sitting for over 6-7 months now.

I have, i think it was just a tune issue. Getting the turbo installed and getting the base tune for it seemed to solve the issues. But im having another issue. Front timing cover is coming off again. =( P0018 issues. Such is life for a built motor.
