Not on this car, but I did on my last forester. Had an exhaust issue and that was the cheapest fix.

Honestly, they fit perfect and gave me no issues. Put a spacer in for the 02 and it worked just fine even through a bad season. Car developed a knock and that's when I got the BRZ.

Would I run them on the BRZ? No. There are better options out there and I'm not trying to just get a beater rolling.

For that price, just buy the Gruppe-S. If it was significantly cheaper, I'd say use the OBX just to see how it does.

I have a cheapo CNT racing header and apart from needing to use a rubber mallet to get it to slip on the studs, I've had zero issues with it. It looks fairly corroded, but it's all surface rust so I'm not overly concerned. May upgrade to something nicer/better, but I'm in no rush at this point.

They're not exclusively an online brand. I had an OBX Racing catback installed in my P11 by 2K Racing in Reseda, CA and was quite pleased with it. I later bought an SR20 header that I never got around to installing before I sold it and bought the 86 but it was a fairly rare size at 2.5" I believe, where most of the cheap ebay headers were 2.25"

I still need to sell that thing. That said, on this platform I'd go JDL, OFH or Tomei, in that order (for UEL), from premium to cheaper.

Obviously you get what you pay for, like @Cole said there is a possibility for fitment issues with cheaper headers.

Proceed with caution is all I'm saying.
