Outstanding grip in dry and wet, definitely on par with Firehawk Indy 500s or maybe even Pilot Supersports (have Supersports on an Audi S5), but I only paid $140 per tire which is great for 245/35/18s. Completely transformed the car over the stock tire.

These are looking very promising. They've been at the top of my 'next set' list for a while.

I never hear anybody mention the YOKOHAMA ADVAN SPORT A/S. What is the consensus on those?

Wow, I might have to give those a shot if they're that cheap.

Does anyone daily the GT Radials? I'm curious about comfort and tire noise.

My biggest complaint about my Hankooks is the highway noise. Handsfree calling is impossible.

I've been back and forth over the FK510's versus the indy 500's. They're the same price locally, around $680CAD tax in for 225/45R17's.

Wet traction goes to the falkens, but they have a softer sidewall. The indy's however are stiffer, and should grip a bit better in the dry.

The 510's are probably a safer all arounder since they work better in the rain. I can't imagine the firestones being worse than the stock primacy's in the wet.

I don't think you can go wrong here. They're both great tires at a very competitive price.

Sure I drive them all the time. Comfort and tire noise is pretty standard for this class of tire. I don't like talking to people on my hands-free phone at highway speeds, however I do not think it is because of the tires. My car is just loud at that speed in general regardless of the tires.
I thought I got my set cheap, but at OEM sizes the pricing goes from ridiculous to absolutely absurd given the performance.

Dd the 265/35/18 gt radial sx2, rains n shines, got them dirt cheap brand new around $300s before they mark up the price due to the high demand.

For the price, it can’t be beat.

I just got set of the GT Radial SX2's from Tirecrawler in stock size. Only have 300 miles or so DD them on LA roads. Honestly, noise and ride comfort does not seem too different from the stock Primacy's. Maybe a little different noise/ride, but not objectionable at all

I'm honestly not sure why this topic is so contentious except that some people don't want to pay the premium to get the best. Quite clearly, the best daily driver tire for this platform is the Michelin PS4S. I guess I'm a "chump" as one poster put it, but I've driven on 5 different tires on this platform, both on the road and on the track, and the Michelin PS4S is worth every penny.

It outperforms every other tire in its class in dry and wet conditions, has decently acceptable wear lifespan when street driven (expect 30-40k miles for a set), and of all the tires I've put on my car it resulted in the best fuel economy (I record every single fill-up and have exceptionally accurate fuel economy records).

There are plenty of cheaper options, and they all have trade-offs. You can hem and haw about it all you want to save a few bucks, or just get the Michelins and go enjoy your life. Maybe that makes me a "chump" but I think a lot of people who own this platform are just broke kids acting like cheap punks desperate to justify their choices.

I know I probably sound like a broken record, but when I went from running MPSS tires to Hankook Evo v12s, I was VERY dissapointed. IMO, TOTALLY Not worth the savings. I'll be getting the MPS4S next time.

I'm struggling to justify $400-500 for a set of off brand tires when Pilot Sport A/S 3+ are $498 for 4. The A/S will suit my needs better any way.

Currently just over $700 for the PS4S in 225/45R17 from Discount.

That's a good deal, I say, get em'! I ran a set of Michelin 225/45/17 A/S+ for 22k miles. They were replaced by the A/S3. Anyway, I think you'll be happy with how they feel and wear.
