I know of 2 people that have blown motors with this kit. There's also blown stock engines and blown engines with every kit. These engines can fail boosted or not boosted.

Hey everyone! I've been following this thread for a while and have had the kit for probably about 6 months now. Install went well, very easy if you take your time, also very high quality. Installed a catch can and oil cooler at the same time. Ran a 15.70 before the kit and 14.00 after same track, same driver, and similar conditions (florida summer hot and humid!). Really made the car more enjoyable as it is my daily.

Only problem I ran into was the fault code P0172, as some of the others have had as well. Reset it twice and it came back after a approx. 1 week... I guess the MAF got something on it because after I cleaned it no more code, been probably 6 weeks since.

So MAF got dirty, saw "less" air due to being dirty, and engine ran rich after the O2 sensors saw the engine "lean".

Makes sense... good find!

Can anybody tell, which sensors could I monitor to investigate this condition and which values to expect on a stock engine and with this kit?
I guess Fuel Trim Bank 1 Long Term and Short Term sensors, and probably AFR? But what values should be considered normal?

AFR should be at 1.0 or 14.7, depending on what you're reading and how it's being interpreted, in closed loop (cruising) conditions.

Let us know what you want...

We have an EL on our car, as does @Xerious, but some people want that rumble.

Exactly! I did some data logging hoping to catch it when it threw the code but no luck... The car had been recently shipped from Florida to Oahu when it started happening so I was thinking it may have got very mildly oxidized when it was on the container ship.

Screw the rumble the exhaust note is intimidating with the tomei header, op, and test pipe.
