Probably preaching to the choir but I'd recommend Toyota of Boerne for any dealer related work have nothing but good things to say and are mod friendly. Joe Hernandez, Mike Quinn and Jeff take care of me up there! Main reason behind choosing the FR-S over the BRZ can't pass up an excellent service department for dreaded warranty and dealer work.

I didn't even see your thread, this is making that used IS-F look more inviting (or S4 Avant)

Sorry dude, I'm pretty useless when it comes to anything below 138,000 volts... I only do high voltage stuff which is a lot different. The only car electronics things I've done are neons and LEDs - never messed with the audio side. It doesn't look too complicated from what you've drawn up - but since I don't have experience in it, I don't want to tell you the wrong thing. Sorry I'm useless!

Just when I was starting to think you were cool... Haha, just kidding! No problemo.

Remind me to get with you about my electrifying the door handles project in lieu of trunk monkey. Should be plenty over 138k volts. LOL

I'm not sure about it being the tune man. I've read other threads of people having timing issues or random spun rod bearings for no apparent reason. Hopefully its just bad luck and no ones fault, and they repair it for you no charge.

Any idea if these have been earlier production cars, or is it pretty random throughout?

To be honest @pcasso87 issue sounds more like good old ringland failure that has plagued Subarus for years now. It's hard to say for sure without seeing the piston.

Also @pcasso87 ask them to let you keep the old block and make a coffee table out of it (or give it to me and I'll do it), wanted to do that with the block out of my 09 but the halfs fused together.

That's what i'm talkin' about! And if anyone ever wants to rice out their rides with LEDs, I can help... You shoulda seen my old cavalier... that thing looked like the Aurora Borealis. Probably why I'm so hesitant to do any mods to the new car... don't want to overdo it!

That and people blowing up their engines lately is kinda scary........

You probably picked up a nail, or possibly its leaking at the TPMS sensor. Add air pressure and see if it goes back down. If it does just go to the dealership and have them look at it.
