Luckily my commute is going to be the exact same... Just a 12 hour difference.

Most people can't quite... But yeah, bike an option? That's a long commute. I used to be close (up to 1hr45min each way) but all but 15-20 min was on the train. Paying 3x the property taxes to be a half hour from work (12 min walking, 13-15 on the train, plus waiting for the train or the crowds of slow walkers).
I guess one change at a time. At least he drives an auto |

Shit and I just went for an interview last week for an IT job that has 12 hr rotating shifts including graveyard. It's also much lesser pay than my old job which I could careless about cuz I just need a full-time job again (besides it's like a 5 min drive from my house).
I actually did super good on the interview for once. They asked me what TV show I'm watching lately and I said The Regular Show on Cartoon Network. Is it really that bad being a vampire? Man I really really really really hope they call back to hire me. |

I just don't sleep well during the day so it ends up being pretty shitty for me. I could never adjust to it.

I bought a new daily. Rare, 5 speed. My first American car. I'm anxious to get rid of the awful Alpina wheels.

Hated always flipping my schedule in order to attempt to contribute to society in fun ways. Racing while tired was no joy, wonder if I'll get better now. And best of luck, kind sir! Hope they do call you back. What kind of IT work will you be doing? Quote:

So one of the fun highlights from the trip was when I got lost on a backroad in OR (became unpaved 25 miles out and couldn't proceed). GPS was giving me crap directions, father and son found me and escorted me to the main highway. Turns out his son's car's belt shredded not 30 minutes from when I had to turn around and they were on a trip to get a new belt.
After we were done, he found out we had a mutual interest in cars and conversed for almost 30 minutes about random car talk. Turns out he's been rat rod racing, along with other stuff, for more than 30 years. Personality was very similar to @Ultramaroon Asked if he did anything to his truck suspension wise and he said nope. He just knows the road really well, runs it in his BMW M3 all the time, along with his other cars. His son, looked younger than myself, used to do the monster truck races in Tacoma, WA! Also showed me the various other projects/restorations from his father's and grandpa's era! [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3Z0Gb0Rz5Q"]Coos Bay Wagon Rd Rev - YouTube[/ame] |

It's to support IBM Mainframes at my old place. It's very specialized work albeit an entry level job but impossible to learn outside. I figured it's a place they can't readily outsource, and I'm sure it's gonna be a lot more interesting than supporting Windows PCs. |

Apart from that, shift work isn't bad. I liked afternoons, since I could still have a life after my shift was done. My brother is really bad at shift work though. When he's on nights, he gets home and stays awake until 12 or 1. And on afternoons, he'll stay up until 5 or 6am |

There's also a damn motorcycle shop down the street and they can't wait until they get to the main road to rev their annoying stupidly loud exhaust.
