That is a hell of a move for you if it’s the Seattle job.

Sheesh. I go away for a weekend and everyone starts getting new jobs. Grats to all who have and good luck to those interviewing.

Fortunately it's in SF, so no big deal.

For some reason Amazon's interview process is stuck in Seattle for most engineering positions. But I won't complain, got a free 2.5 day trip out of it.

Except, at least in the US, you'll end up back in the hospital once you see the bill. My father-in-law had to have emergency heart surgery 2 years ago and had to be life-flighted from one hospital to another. The distance was 15 miles and the bill was over $20,000. He ended up not paying it because he fortunately had purchased "life flight" insurance as a rider on his insurance. It's not normally covered.

In SF? No big deal? Let's talk after you have been commuting to SF for a while.

Good luck Spike.

I get annoyed when ppl find out I'm car enthuse and first thing they say is "Did you see the new Supra? They failed badly. With that price, you can get new Corvette!"... even though they don't know anything about Supra or Corvette nor they're not even a car enthuse. Do I look like own a new Supra? SMH If they even have 1% of car knowledge, just maybe, maybe I would discuss about that, BUT it's a waste of my breath & energy.

I think that shows that people just like to share the popular opinion to fit in even if it's on something they don't know much about, if that makes sense. Like when it's playoff season for a sport and someone who has never spoken a word about a team starts repeating whatever the ESPN commentators say. I don't mind it since they're just trying to make conversation, but I do take the chance to educate them. Not in a "I-know-everything-and-you're-stupid" type of way though lol
