I agree. To an extent. It wasn't the best solution. And if this camera could take better pictures you could see how amazing the paint looks in real life. Pretty good paint for $15 a can. I'm going to remove the badging part of this tutorial since I'm sick of people like you coming in here and leaving bad comments.

Don't remove it, you tried it, some like it some don't (self included), but it might help someone else come up with another idea or variation that someone else might like. And props to ya for touching a project the majority of us dont have the balls to fk with!

Yea I'm gonna have to agree. You had the right idea but horrible (in my opinion) execution. There are Toyota airbag emblems on ebay for like $20 or so. Idk about the size but the tabs look the same at least. The bumper emblem is just dangerous.

I'll check it out. Too late to undo the tutorial now. I didn't save the text and HTML and don't feel like going back and redoing it just so more of these ****s can mock what no one else has tried to do. I admit what I did wasn't perfect. Now others can take from my tutorial and do their own style and I will probably end up going one of those routes. I'd love to find one of those airbag emblems though so I can rip this off and do it semi-right.

Call up Luis at Carson Toyota. That's where I ordered mine, takes a while to ship from Japan though. Still waiting for mine.

Yeah good luck with that one. I'm sure prices will eventually fall but not that dramatically. Still gotta remember that this part is not available in the US and whoever is buying them to bring them here has to deal with the foreign currency exchange rate (dollar is weak compared to Euro and Yen) and shipping.

Ah true. I just bought a Toyota air bag emblem off eBay so I'll be redoing this whole thing. Should look right finally.

Cool man. In the end, it's your car. Do what you want with it and don't give a Fack what anyone thinks. No matter what you do, there will always be someone who disagrees and will talk $hit. Thanks for letting us know how to take out the airbag though...now I don't have to pay someone to change mine out.

I just removed the fuses, that's it. I was listening to music and the A/C blowing the whole time lol.

Check engine light does not come on but the airbag light does. I had to drive to Lowe's to grab a couple items with the airbag out. It's right behind my apartment so it wasn't a big deal.

Pictures taken down due to unwanted negative response. I'm working on an alternative solution and maybe I'll post that up. Waiting on mail though.
