ULTIMATE RACING 3inch catback exhaust

im gathering parts i will need to go with a turbo kit and exhaust is one of my concerns. My question is, this ULTIMATE RACING catback weighs 56 lbs, is the weight of this exhaust worth buying? is this similar to other aftermarket turbo exhausts weights? i really want to order one already coz i am impressed with the looks, quality and craftsmanship! but before anything i js want some thoughts about it

A couple dozen pounds isn't worth losing sleep over. If it really bothers you knowing its 20 lbs 'too heavy', just fill it up with one less gallon of gas lol.

i have this exhuast ... and if weight is your issue .. have your down pipe dump under the front of the car... otherwise i personally think the ultimate racing is the best 3" out right now.

That sounds ridiculously overweight in my opinion. But if the quality/performance/sound outweigh the negatives go with it.

Why not just get the single exit one? Its gonna be lighter and it seems to be a good price

At the end of the day if weight is your concern, I am sure you can find someone in California that is more then capable of making you an 18ga 3" 321 or 304 based exhaust system. You could even get an aluminum exhaust made but longevity and noise may be a concern. It may not be cheap, and will definitely cost you quite a bit more then an off the shelf part but it is always an option.

Aluminum mufflers do not muffle much at all, I have a car here with a 3" no muffler stainless and it is loud, the customer seems happy with it but I do not think I could live with it day to day.

Isn't aluminum harder to weld thou ?

I've been living with straight piped cars for a few years now..... Getting sick of it but I just can't stop

I don't think its 56lbs. I got it with the resonator with 5" tips and the UPS box it came in said 40lbs.
