There is only regulations for safety in that all stock safety systems must be intact such as seat-belts.

I repeat, THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION nor any form of SCORED or TIMED event and the only way you win is if you learn something about your car, and your own driving.

So any mods as long as it is safe is good. For exercises like this, the more STOCK the better, including the tires, as this is a car control clinic where drivers learn about their own car, and driving skills more importantly.

Open or closed, its fine.

If you want to dedicate this helmet for FRS/BRZ, generally an open face is better since Southern California can get really hot in the summer, and also it is much easier to communicate with instructors with an open face.

You will only need a closed face if you are planning to race open wheel race cars, or intend to use the same helmet for motorbikes/cars.

I don't want this to get out of hand, but is this worth it if I have an AT?

I didn't register, kinda short on funds. I would've loved to join though. This being my first sports car/RWD car, I'm sure I would've learned a lot and have a better understanding on how these cars work.

i would seriously consider driving from the bay area to attend this. that being said, I don't want to clutter the thread, but I do want to add to the already expressed interest of having a similar event in the bay area, in case you're doing a headcount for future events. I would sign up in a heartbeat, but just my luck it would probably be on a weekend that I end up being in socal, ha. =\

Yes, I have catered different set of training skills for AT and MT for some of the instructions and lessons.

yes, because of this FIRST (of many more events) is on a very small venue, and to ensure each participant gets value for money against instructions and practice time as well as classroom lessons, I have to cap this one at 25. I hope to extend that to another level and for more folks in the following events after all of the instructors and staff are better prepared to take on a larger class.
