A Georgia Tech grad has a business converting classic cars like Mercedes 450 sel into electric only vehicles. I don't remember what the price but it was under six figures. Hard to imagine it's a sustainable business. Read about it in their alumni mag.

It was a fun article as were the others. Far better reading than what I get from my Liberal Arts college. Going to that college was one of the larger mistakes I have made in my life.

Looks like the starting price is $112,000 and they go up from there depending on options.

They have only been in business for a year so pretty hard to determine the long term viability of the company at this point. Looks like they change so much of the vehicle that the result is just a body on a whole new chassis. This will not interest any true collector since the value of their car is in how original it is. Not sure how it would impact racers as far as class would go. There could be a decent market for guys that want something like this but at those costs it can't be huge. How many guys would want to take their prized 55 Bellaire worth $50K and turn it into a $5K body with a really expensive drive train? They even sort of imply that in their write up since they sort of push full restorations (at additional charges of course).
