Cheapest way to get white light?

Basically, I want that white/6000k look without getting an HID kit. I saw some Philips lamps that were a little different from the H11's and would be a simple plug and play after you cut a little tab off in the connector of the bulb. This seems like the cheapest and easiest solution as far as getting the white light, but is there another way as well that is NOT HIDs?
Does anyone have experience with the Philips bulbs I'm talking about? (I can't remember which ones exactly. I think they might have been H9's though.)

Great, but that's where you should ASK the question.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Are there going to be any problems with these bulbs that I should expect before buying them? The Philips H9's I saw in another thread at some point were a bit cheaper (about $30) and they were 6000k, so any recommendations between those and the ones you have?

Aren't H9 going to put out more light than the H11? Go with the H9...

Also, getting a blue tinted bulb is going to harm light output. Think about the last time you sat in a car with window tint. It blocked light, right?

So you're saying forget the blue tinted H11's and go with the H9's?

Edit: These are the H9's I'm talking about. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26717

I was never a guy willing to take a risk at modding bulbs. I've installed HID kits in projector lamps. But never been willing to mess with the other stuff. I get the look I want without the risk. I don't have a problem seeing the road although these do not put out the same light as an HID. There is no comparison.

My only concern swapping H9 with H11 will create more problems down the road.

First off H9 draws more electricity than H11 which in the long run had chances to burn the wired and housing of our projectors which are difficult and expansive to replace.

Alternator issue- since the wattage are higher, the alternator works extremely harder to put out energy and heat to keep up with the higher wattage lamps. That will shortens the life of the alternator which costs at least $300 or so to replace.

H9 is a high beam light bulbs. That means we are running a high beam at all time. The heat output and the life of the light bulbs will reflect on how long the bulbs will last.

The choice and decision we made is end up we suffers towards your pocket unless you lease your FRS, then do whatever. Here are my humble $.02

If you're going to spend that much on bulbs why not just buy a set of HIDs and be done with it? You will get incredible results with our kit and they start at $89. Plus, we back our ballasts with a lifetime warranty!

PM me if you need help!
